Upgrade to Banner 9 employee self-service. Next meeting will focus on the employee forms, as the sole focus has been on internal forms thus far. Update status is that in the coming weeks more info in regard to self-service forms will be the main focus.
- General forms; testing and turning on HR and position control project (IT to test)
- G forms, any other letter forms (N and P main focus) need to be tested please send to Kevin to evaluate these items.
- (Banner 9 Learning Central Video) – Run through of video for anyone that has not yet used it. Looks like most of the attendees have already navigated some of the Banner 9 items. Video will be sent out to attendees to get feedback on anything additional that could be added to the online training tools. (At Kevin's insistence video was watched as a group). After video Kevin reminded everyone to review the testing and give feedback.
- TMS updated in regard to Employee- Self portal. IT update is to bear with them and let them know that they are working on it.
- Debi run through Banner 9 forms: Supervisor update is the function that she will perform. Typed NBA jobs (employee job forms). (Form name or partial title to search). Looks familiar. ID, ELIPSYUS (…) search this way. Once ID number is added TAB, search for position is same as the ID search, SELECT, populated position number and suffix. GO, brings up persons information. TOOLS selected, "add a change with a new effective date" (Right click function no longer available in this updated system form) Date added then "ok". "Change Reason" Supervisor update selected. Select from misc. tab (Supervisor replace supervisor Banner ID with new supervisor) save. If you hover over SAVE a shortcut pops up (F10). Warning appears after SAVE selected. Title of Supervisor does not automatically pop up, once form is completed and saved go back into the form for the title to come up. Debi then proceeded to talk about how her area is working on the testing environment. IF problems, who do they ask about them? So far no problems but if there was any errors, Gabe Rivera is the "Go To" for those errors. "Start Over" now replaces the "Go Back" function.
- Lost data in the middle of an application (power outage, computer failure etc.) Will it be locked? Not sure as that has not been tested. Hope is that the info will not be locked but will need to be looked into further.
- Color scheme is the exact color scheme as the testing environment is what it will be. IF these colors do not work, departments and ERB leadership can decide if these hues need to be changed.
- Kevin suggested people play around and ask questions if there are any issues now while they have the opportunity.
- Adam Action Items (Confluence test environment-IT copy of TMS production tables. 200+ jobs should be in worklist. Real test cases push through EOS to see what happens.) Second question, Blackout dates for not being able to test. Cannot have a true black out. Adam feels that those dates need to be established for each area to test (new employee, position employees and separations). Robert will work with group to get blocks of frequently used forms to make sure these forms that are worked on daily are working.
