Purpose

Procedures for approving a hiring request.

Applicability

For a user that has been identified as an approver for a requisition.

Prerequisites

A BAR role is not required to be a requisition approver.

Procedure

Note: It is recommended that college level approvers select the Main and Branch Faculty employment area in order to view all of the details of the requisition. See the Selecting Your Employment Area SOP for details.

You will receive the email below when a requisition has been submitted to you for approval.

Subject: UNMJobs Requisition Pending Approval Notification

Dear RECIPIENT.FIRST.NAME RECIPIENT.LAST.NAME:

An UNMJobs requisition has been submitted and is pending your approval. Please use the link below review the requisition. If you have questions regarding the requisition, please contact the requisition owner identified below.

JOB.REQUISITION.APPROVALS.LINK

Requisition ID: JOB.REQUISITION.ID

Requisition Title: JOB.TITLE

Requisition Department: JOB.OU.LOCATION.TITLE

Requisition Owner: JOB.REQUISITION.OWNER.LIST.HTML

To approve the request, click on the link in the email to be brought to UNMJobs and log in. Hover over Recruit and select Recruiting Approvals. 

  • The requisition will appear in your Pending queue.
  • Select requisition title to view the details of the requisition.
     
  • To approve the hiring request, select the checkmark  icon. To return the hiring request to the hiring coordinator, select the cancel  icon and click Submit.
  • To leave a comment, once the Approve or Deny button is selected, the down arrow icon will display. Select the down arrowicon and click Add Comment  to open a comments box. 
  • Once the requisition has been approved for denied, it will be removed from your approval queue.
