  • The department will need to confirm that a new position number is provided, along with a new start date. The monthly and hourly rate must also be on the form.

    • Submit the Requisition to your department’s designated approver(s) and to the HR Transaction Center (HR Approver).
    • Once the Internal Competitive position has been posted, you will receive an email containing the apply link from the HR Transaction Center. At that time, the department should send the apply link to the posting to the UNMTemps employee so that he/she can applyOnce the position number, new start date and hourly rate are confirmed with the index and account code on the form.
    • Once it is all confirmed and completely filled out, it will be forwarded from UNMTemps to the appropriate HR Consultant for review and signature.
    • Email to the HR Consultant included the temp to hire request. Make sure there are no others within the hiring org with the same title. If there are, let the HR Consultant know in the email.
    • A SPET is required if there are, if not let the HR Consultant know in the email for the Temp To Regular Request.
    • Once the HR consultant approved the Temp to Hire conversion, log into UNMJobs and search for the req the individual was hired from. Select individual, click open the status tab.
    • Under "Recommended to Hire" click on "Create New Offer Letter." Change the offer letter details to include: New Hire Date, New Probationary Date, New Hourly Rate, New Position Number, NEE field (Only if the candidate didn't attend NEE as a temp).
    • Preview the new offer letter and remove any temp language and add the specific hire.
    • Save new offer letter and send to candidate.
    • Launch onboarding. Include all information and select Prom C.
    • Once the offer letter is signed, send the UNMTemps to Regular HRTC processing Email template to the HR Transaction Center to update the hire in Banner. Include attachments such as the signed offer letter, and HR Consultant approver email.
