Purpose
Procedures for approving a hiring request.
Applicability
For a user that has been identified as an approver for the hiring request.
Prerequisites
A BAR role is not required to be identified as a hiring request approver.
Procedure
4.1
You will receive the email below when a hiring request has been submitted to you for approval.

4.2
View Pending Requests
To view pending approvals:
- login to UNMJobs
- Recruit > Recruiting Approvals
- The hiring request will appear in your Pending queue under Offer Letters. Select the Offer Letters link to view the pending request.
4.3
Approve Faculty & Postdocs
Offer letters are attached in the candidate’s application profile, to view it:
- Click the candidate’s name and click the Documents tab. The offer letter is under the Attachments section, click the icon to review the letter.
- Follow the bread crumbs at the top left of the page to go back to the approvals by clicking Recruiting Approvals.
- To approve the offer letter, select the check-mark ( add comment if needed), then click Submit button at the bottom of the list.
- To return it to the hiring coordinator, select the cancel icon ( add comment) and click Submit.
4.4
Approve an Adjunct
To review and approve an LOU:
- Click the search icon next to the name of the hire.
- To approve the LOU, click the check-mark icon and click Submit.
- To Deny the LOU and return to the hiring coordinator for correction, click the cancel icon and click Submit.
